Lisa Wilson

Lisa WilsonLisa Wilson is the co-owner and a director of Beleura Health Solutions.

After working at Royal Melbourne Hospital and a number of private practice physiotherapy clinics across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Lisa broadened her professional experience with a period working in Canada, before relocating back to Australia and moving to the Mornington Peninsula, where she helped establish Beleura Health Solutions in 1997.

Since that time she has strived to make Beleura Health Solutions the dynamic and professional private practice that it is today, actively engaging wide a wide variety of community groups and sporting clubs to deliver the very best injury assessment, treatment, management and education.

Lisa invests a significant proportion of her professional time mentoring physiotherapy staff in pilates-based treatment techniques, clinical outcomes and customer service.

Lisa graduated in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 1989. She is a qualified level 4 DMA pilates practitioner, with a special interest in clinical pilates and exercised based rehabilitation.

Antony Hirst

Antony2Antony Hirst graduated from Latrobe University in Physiotherapy in 1992, having completed a previous degree in Exercise Science in 1987 at Phillip Institute of Technology.

A Senior Practitioner at Beleura Health Solutions, Antony is heavily involved in student supervision and mentoring of all practitioners. He is also actively involved with The Australian Physiotherapy Association.

With a special interest in all aspects of hip pain and acute lower back pain, Antony is passionate about patient care,  and improving how he and the team at Beleura Health Solutions can deliver the highest quality physiotherapy and health care.  

Antony is a keen golfer and open water swimmer.

 

 

Lachlan Wakeling

Lachlan2Practising since 2001, Lachlan is a senior physiotherapist and director at Beleura Health Solutions’ Hastings clinic.   In 2016 he was recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a ‘Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist’.

APA Titled physiotherapists are highly qualified physiotherapists with expert knowledge and skills in their area of practice. They undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure that they achieve and maintain exceptional standards of clinical experience and knowledge.

To be awarded the APA Musculoskeletal title requires the completion of the 4 year undergraduate physiotherapy degree, a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in the field, and the completion of a 2 year post-graduate Master Of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.  This final process requires hundreds of hours of research -based assignments, conferences, lectures and supervised clinical practise with practical examinations from other expert physiotherapists.  

Lachlan has extensive experience in musculoskeletal injuries, work related injuries and surgical rehabilitation. He has worked at clinics in Australia (Victoria and Queensland), England, and Wales, and has provided services to a variety of sporting clubs, including football, rugby, soccer, tennis, netball, cricket and swimming.  

With a passion for ongoing education Lachlan coordinates the professional development program at Beleura Health Solutions, which includes staff mentoring, industry research and professional development lectures.

Lachlan graduated in Physiotherapy at Latrobe University in 2001, completed a postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2014 (Latrobe University), and continued these studies to complete his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physio in 2016.

Outside the clinic Lachlan is a father of 3 young children, a keen distance/marathon runner, surfer and mountain biker. 

Lachlan’s special areas of clinical interest include:

  • Complex diagnoses and second-opinion assessments
  • Chronic and complex pain treatment and patient education
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
  • Shoulder pain
  • Hip/groin pain
  • Running related injuries
  • Running biomechanical assessment
  • He also runs the RECOVER pain program for patients
 

 

Liana Cope

Practising since 2002, Liana is a senior physiotherapist and director at Beleura Health Solutions’ Hastings clinic. She joined the Beleura team after working in sports and orthopaedic based private practises in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.

Liana has a high level of expertise in sports injuries. She completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2014 and was subsequently recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a ‘Titled Sports Physiotherapist’.

Liana’s experience includes working with national teams in basketball, water polo and volleyball. She held the role of head physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Volleyball from 2011-2015. 

 Liana also works as a lecturer at Monash University for the Physiotherapy Department. An experienced practitioner with considerable clinical expertise and ongoing exposure to the latest research, Liana provides treatment for a broad range of areas, including musculoskeletal injuries, work related injuries and surgical rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Liana enjoys riding, going to the gym, and making the most of living on the Mornington Peninsula.
