Total Body Balance

Clinical Pilates in Mornington, Bentons Square & Hastings.

Australian physiotherapists began incorporating Pilates exercises into the therapy regime in the 1990s. They overcame the initial sClinical Pilateshortcomings of Pilates by combining Pilates exercises with trusted and proven physiotherapy techniques. These exercises further evolved to suit the needs of the fitness and health rehabilitation industry, resulting in a treatment methodology that helps alleviate pain and movement dysfunction, improve balance, mobility and posture, and the development of functional strength and conditioning.

With three convenient clinics across the Mornington Peninsula, we proudly offer clinical pilates to residents of Mornington, Mornington East, Moorooduc, Mt Eliza, Frankston, Hastings and Mt Martha..

Clinical Pilates and real time ultrasound imaging

A real time ultrasound assessment enables the patient to view
Clinical Pilatestheir abdominal and spinal muscles in action, and allows the physiotherapist to observe whether they are working correctly to support the spine.

Beleura’s functional assessment is performed by our trained clinical pilates physiotherapists. As a result of the assessment, the patient is prescribed a customised, progressive exercise program using Clinical Pilates equipment. This usually includes the reformer and trapeze table, accompanied by Pilates instruction; or the patient is placed in our Pilates floor-class program.
